Siam Volunteer Project

After the Tsunami event on 26th of December 2004, Thailand has confronted more severe natural disasters, including landslide and wildfire. We found out from all the events that happened that there are always some difficulties in sending help to the victim. Moreover, there’s also a need for a system that can evaluate, analyze, and predict in order to make a well-organized plan that can immediately handle the situation. In fact, a continuous community restoration is also needed as well.

For this reason, the Siam Volunteer project works in parallel with the government in dealing with major disaster events to decrease the gap or damage caused by disasters that is beyond the government’s prediction. Some victims might be unable to fully access the community restoration process, so volunteers will be helping them through a coordination with the NGOs. In fact, citizen volunteer’s works can accommodate the rescue and recovery mission in time. Õ
